Project Description

Clarkesville, Georgia

The 1958 Parker Nellis Building at North Georgia Technical College’s Clarkesville campus has undergone a definitive renovation that has propelled it into 21st-Century academic delivery. This 36,450 science-focused building was renovated in order to create new classrooms, laboratories and office use spaces. The renovation design greatly streamlines the building, which includes a full-story “walk-out”  on the 1st Level, into open, light-filled areas with much improved use of space. The comprehensive scope included hazardous material abatement, existing shell repair, roof replacement, addition of a passenger elevator, new monumental and egress stairs, enlargement of many existing openings, replacement of all exterior doors and windows, and exterior hardscape and landscaping.
